Sarah Mitchell
Studio Owner & Lead Instructor
Sarah's journey with Pilates began after a career-ending injury as a competitive swimmer. Through Pilates, she not only rehabilitated her body but discovered a passion for helping others transform their physical and mental well-being.
After training extensively in both classical and contemporary Pilates methods across the country, Sarah founded Right Fit Pilates with a simple mission: to create a studio where everyone feels welcome, regardless of their fitness level or background.
Sarah believes that Pilates is not just exercise—it's a practice of mindful movement that can benefit anyone. Her teaching style combines technical precision with warmth and encouragement, helping each client discover their own strength.
When she's not at the studio, Sarah enjoys hiking with her golden retriever, practicing yoga, and exploring the local farmers markets in Bethesda.

Emily's path to Pilates came through her 12-year career as a professional ballet dancer with the National Ballet. When chronic injuries threatened her career, she discovered Pilates as both rehabilitation and a sustainable way to maintain strength and flexibility.
Now, she combines her understanding of the dancer's body with Pilates methodology to help clients of all backgrounds move with more grace and less pain. Her expertise in rehabilitation makes her particularly skilled at working with clients recovering from injuries or surgery.
Emily's classes are known for their attention to detail and focus on proper alignment. She has a gift for breaking down complex movements into accessible steps, making Pilates approachable for beginners while still challenging for advanced practitioners.
Outside the studio, Emily continues to choreograph for local dance companies and teaches master classes for professional dancers looking to incorporate Pilates into their training.
